Introduction
FigureRecord (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a collector tool for tracking figures, care logs, build checklists, and handling notes. We respect your privacy and designed the app so that your collection data stays on your device by default.
Summary: Your figures, photos, logs, and reminders are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad. We do not operate a cloud database for your collection in the current version.
By using FigureRecord, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Information we process
Depending on how you use the app, FigureRecord may process:
- Collection content — figure names, series, scale, materials, tags, storage location, cover photos, care logs, handling logs, build projects and steps, voice notes, and timeline activity.
- Profile information — display name and avatar image you choose in the Me tab (stored on device).
- Account identifier — when you sign in with Apple, we receive a stable Apple user identifier to associate your session; we do not receive your Apple ID password.
- Purchase records — coin balance and consumable in-app purchase transactions processed by Apple (StoreKit). We do not collect or store your payment card details.
- Reminder preferences — whether reminders are enabled, daily reminder time, and care cycle settings.
- Push device token (placeholder) — if you grant notification permission, the app may register for remote push to support future server-based alerts. The token may be stored locally until a backend is enabled.
We do not require you to create a separate email/password account beyond Sign in with Apple.
How data is stored
On your device
Collection data and media are saved in the app’s sandboxed Documents directory on your device (JSON data files and image/audio media). This data is included in encrypted device backups if you back up your iPhone or iPad to iCloud or your computer, according to Apple’s backup settings.
No collection cloud sync (current version)
We do not upload your figure library to our servers in the current release. Export features (such as figure report images) are generated on device and only leave your device when you explicitly share or save them.
Device permissions
FigureRecord requests permissions only when needed:
- Camera — to capture photos for figures and logs.
- Photo Library — to pick images for covers and logs; optionally to save exported reports when you choose to save.
- Microphone — to record optional voice notes attached to care or handling logs.
- Notifications — to deliver local care reminders and, in a future update, optional remote push messages if you allow them.
You can revoke permissions anytime in iOS Settings → FigureRecord.
Sign in with Apple
Sign in with Apple is optional for browsing local data but required for certain features such as purchasing coin packs. Apple may share your name with us only on the first authorization; you can choose to hide your email using Apple’s private relay.
Signing out returns you to the sign-in screen. Your on-device collection remains until you use Clear All Data in settings.
In-app purchases
Coin packs are consumable in-app purchases handled entirely by Apple. Transaction validation uses Apple’s StoreKit APIs. Refunds and billing disputes are managed through Apple per their policies.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, FigureRecord schedules local notifications on your device based on your care cycles and daily reminder time. These alerts do not require our servers in the current version.
If remote push is enabled in a future update, we will update this policy and request permission before sending server-originated messages.
Retention and deletion
Data remains on your device until you delete it or use Me → Clear All Data, which removes figures, logs, projects, resets coins to the default welcome amount, clears your profile avatar and display name, and signs you out.
Uninstalling the app removes sandbox data from the device unless restored from a backup.
Children’s privacy
FigureRecord is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us.
