Frequently asked questions
What is FigureRecord?
FigureRecord helps collectors log care (dusting, maintenance, dehumidifying), track build checklists, record handling notes, and view due items and activity on a single timeline—all stored on your device.
Is my collection stored in the cloud?
In the current version, your library stays on your iPhone or iPad. We do not sync your figures to our servers. Use device backups if you want to preserve data when switching phones.
How do I add a figure?
Open the Collection tab and tap +, or use Overview → Add → New Figure. A build checklist is created automatically for each new figure.
What are coins used for?
Coins pay for Figure Report exports (long-shareable images) from Me → Export Figure Report. You can buy coin packs in the Coin Store after signing in with Apple.
Account & sign in
FigureRecord uses Sign in with Apple only. Signing in is required to purchase coin packs.
- Sign out — Me → Sign Out. Your data remains on the device.
- Profile — Customize your display name and avatar on the Me tab.
- Hide My Email — Supported via Apple’s Sign in with Apple options.
Coins & in-app purchases
- All coin packs are consumable purchases processed by Apple.
- Coins are stored locally and tied to your device installation.
- If a purchase succeeded but coins did not appear, contact us with your Apple receipt ID from the purchase confirmation email.
- Restore Purchases in the Coin Store explains that consumables typically cannot be restored; we show this for transparency.
Your data
Clear all data
Me → Clear All Data requires two confirmations. This permanently deletes figures, logs, build projects, resets coins to the welcome default, clears your profile, and signs you out.
Export
Export Figure Report creates an image on device. Use the share sheet to save to Photos or send elsewhere. JSON export is not offered in the current version.
Reminders & notifications
Enable reminders in Me → Reminder Settings. You must allow iOS notification permission. Reminders are scheduled locally based on your dusting, maintenance, and dehumidify cycles.
If notifications are denied, open iOS Settings → FigureRecord → Notifications and turn them on.
Report a problem
When contacting support, please include:
- A short description of what you expected vs. what happened.
- Steps to reproduce the issue.
- Device model and iOS version (Settings → General → About).
- App version (shown on the App Store listing or TestFlight build number).
- Screenshots or screen recordings if possible.
Crash logs: If the app crashes repeatedly, mention whether it happens on launch, after sign-in, or during a specific action (e.g. export, camera).
